“Six years ago, I was asked [to] embark on building a new EA Applications Sales/Delivery/Recruiting Team. I did not know how it was going to work out at the time, but it is one of the best decisions I have made.”
– Ryan Fasenmyer
We sat down with Ryan, our Senior Solutions Delivery Manager and Enterprise Applications, for a little Q&A session in celebration of his 10th year at Revolution Technologies! Ryan is an incredible asset to our organization and our work family, and we are so proud of his accomplishments and excited to see what else he will accomplish in the next 10 years.
Q. What is your favorite part about your job?
A. My favorite part of this job and this business overall is that we have the opportunity to work on brand new roles daily. It does not get stale; every opening and every client is different with their own unique challenges. It is fast paced and competitive which meets my personality and drive.
Six years ago, I was asked if I would partner up with the new to Revolution, Stacy, VP of National Accounts, and embark on building a new EA Applications Sales/Delivery/Recruiting Team. I did not know how it was going to work out at the time, but it is one of the best decisions I have made. Throughout the years we have added Holly, EA Delivery Associate, Kevin, National Enterprise Sales Executive, and a team of very strong recruiters of whom I feel privileged to work with. We have been one of the top teams in this company for years and I take great pride in not only what we have built but am so excited for the future of our team.
In terms of my favorite part about working with Revolution Technologies and why I have worked here for a decade is the people here at Revolution. Our Executive Sales Team and the Recruiting Team are not only the best at what they do but are even better people. That sentiment extends out to our entire Orlando Branch in which I sit, half of whom have been at Revolution longer than me. I count them as some of my best friends and the best people you would ever want to work with. It says a lot for an IT Staffing Firm to have the retention that we do.
Q. What are the greatest lessons you have learned through your job?
A. I have learned that we deal in a business of with so many variables on both the candidate and client side, and although you may do everything in your power to close deals, sometimes they just do not work out. So, you have to dissect the issues that prevented deals from closing by first looking inward. What could we have done better, and how can we handle this differently next time? Then apply that solution going forward. Sometimes things are just beyond your control and do not work out – you have to have a short memory and refocus yourself on the next opportunity. In recent years, thanks to our Executive Leadership, I have worked on becoming a more a more forward-thinking strategic problem solver. I still have a long way to go!
Q. What is a fun fact about yourself?
A. I love the band Phish and travel to see them a couple times a year, I am a very passionate member of the BILLS MAFIA, and I began skateboarding again a few years ago at 38 years old after a 24-year hiatus.
